Saxophonist Jimmy Cozier was born in Brooklyn, New York.
Jimmy has recorded with Lena Horne, Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway, Bill Doggett, Mongo Santamaria, Charles Tolliver, Grover Washington, Cassandra Wilson, Sam Rivers, and the Chico O'Farrill Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra.
Jimmy has performed with Frank Foster, Gregory Hines, Dave Holland, Abdullah Ibrahim, Ben E. King, Gladys Knight, Johnny Mathis, Charlie Persip, Lou Rawls, Dianne Reeves, The Four Tops, The Temptations and Nancy Wilson.
He has appeared at all the major Jazz Festivals throughout the USA, Europe, the Caribbean and has performed for the Queen of Holland and the late King Hassan of Morocco.
