This volume presents a method to hear changes. Horns and other single line instruments can only arpeggiate or play one chord note at a time. Repetition of the exercises will ingrain the harmonic rhythm(changes) in the student's musical memory. The student will eventually hear the chords without a rhythm section. In addition to the exercises, Volume 2 includes 10 Solo Etudes. The Solo Etudes are based on material(and variations of)
presented in Volume 1. The exercises and Solo Etudes are over the changes of 10 of the most popular progressions in Jazz. Concert, Bb, Eb and Bass Clef parts are included.
